Rick Lytel, Chief Executive Officer
Rick specializes in leading scientific innovations from the lab to applications, and has created scientific and engineering ventures in photonics, predictive medicine, multiprocessor system design, multithreaded software tools and polymer fiber products. Rick earned his Ph.D. in physics at Stanford University. He has over 90 publications in particle physics, nonlinear optics, photonic devices, computer systems, and quasi-one dimensional systems. He is a co-founder of Klar Scientific.
Matt McCluskey, Chief Technology Officer
Matt is a professor of physics and materials science at Washington State University (WSU). His research interests include semiconductors, high-pressure physics, and optics. Matt has served on scientific advisory panels, given invited talks at international conferences, and was elected chair of the 2019 International Conference on Defects in Semiconductors. Matt earned his Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). He joined WSU as an assistant professor in 1998. He has authored or co-authored over 100 refereed publications and two textbooks. He is a co-founder of Klar Scientific.
